Well during the night lastnight Caleb;s heart started beating really slow again. They said that the EKG strip looked okay. I am getting a little frustrated though as I don't think this is being taken as serious as it should. As I said yesterday, I am really hoping Cardiology stops by today to offer their advice on what is going on.
Again, I will keep everyone updated on what the Echo shows today.
God Bless Caleb!!
Caleb was born with two rare syndromes, CHARGE and DiGeorge. Caleb is the 6th person in the world born with both syndromes. CHARGE is a multisystem-effecting syndrome which can cause several severe anomolies. DiGeorge prevented Caleb from developing an immune system. He spent over a year straight in the hospital, had multiple surgeries with a possibility of having more in the future. This blog details his heroic journey and story. God Bless Caleb!!

You have always been the most intuned to Bubber's health so don't let them neglect your concerns. You are the Mommy and you know your son better than anyone. Hopefully Cardio will stop by, or maybe someone could ask them to make a point to stop by. Don't let them ignore your concerns, they may be the Doctors, but you are the Mommy and Mommy knows best!!!! Just let me know if you want me to call them and teach them that, HA!!HA!!! You know how I am with those Doctors!!! We love you so much and we are praying for you always. We will be sending Bubber's Birthday package out this afternoon so hopefully it will get there in time. I was trying to wait to include a special gift for you, but it hasn't arrived yet and I don't want to wait any longer!! We love you!! Keep strong and confident in your feelings, the worst thing that happens is that they double check something that isn't an issue! God Bless you all and kisses to Bubber! God Bless Caleb!!! We love you all!!

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Amy Russo and my husband and I have a son named Ben who also has CHARGE. I view your blog every week and we've been praying for Caleb. He is so lucky to have such amazing parents - you are really looking out for him and it shows! He really is a fighter. Ben hasn't had the same heart issues as Caleb, but he has a very, very low heart rate (30's when he is sleeping). His docs are ok with it as long as he continues to get regular rescue beats (he has a SA node exit block). God bless.

As I always said mom knows more then the doctors, sometimes you have to put your foot down to get things done right. I hope Cardiology stops by and gives you a straight answer.
God bless you all and little Bubber!! You are the best parents god could ever give him.
Hugs,

i totally agree, there have been times during pipers hospital stays that i had to insist on more care. i always feel uncomfortable about doing it and im not always right but i think your instinct as a mommy is so strong and specialized to your own child. its important to listen to it.
we are always thinking of you all, your family is simply amazing.

Sarah, I know you can be feisty...don't hesitate to throw a little Mommy power at those cardiologists and at least make them listen to your concerns!
Stay strong Bubber!!
God Bless & Lotsa Love!!!!!!!

How low is his heart rate going Sarah? And do his sats drop with the brady? That is what our cardio always says to watch for. Max now goes in the 40s on occasion.
Stay on top of them...you are doing a great job. I know it is exhausting and you just wanna be "mommy" but you are also his caregiver and health care coordinator. Who else is better qualified than his dear mommy???
Love, Amy and Max
Sara and Brian,
Just wanted you to know we are praying for Caleb and keep track of him on his blog.
Caleb's strength is an example for
everyone, what a little fighter.
His strength is amazing as is yours.
God Bless you.
